Alicia Askenase received her Masters in poetry from Temple in 1987. Her thesis was titled Clusters. She is the author of The Luxury of Pathos (Texture Press), Shirley Shirley (Sona Books), and Suspect. Her writing has appeared in journals such as The World, Aerial, Chain, The Journal of Modern Literature, Feminist Studies, Rooms, Poppycock, 5_Trope, as well as the anthologies 100 DAYS and 25 Women’s Perspectives. She was a founding co-editor of the literary journal 6ix, and coordinator of literary programs at the Walt Whitman Arts Center in Camden, New Jersey for many years.
